By
breeding a Munchkin with a LaPerm - and adding a lot of luck - there may
be a short-legged kitten born with low-shedding fur. If so, it's
nicknamed a "Skookum" and it will have the best
qualities of both breeds rolled into one adorable kitten! An
affectionate feline clown with adorable short legs and minimal grooming
requirements!.

Breed
Description
Body: short body and legs
Coat: Low Shedding Fur
History
This breed is currently in
development and has been created by introducing various Rex genes into
the gene pool of the shortlegged Munchkin by breeding LaPerms with
Munchkin (curl-haired Munchkin).
Behavior
Skookums are outgoing and
people friendly. Like Munchkins, run much like a
rabbit but without the hop. Watching them scurry down the hall,
tails held straight up in the air, brings a whole new meaning to the
phrase "pitter patter of little feet". Also like
Munchkins, Skookums alternate between standing up on their hind legs (to
get a better view?) and flipping over on their backs for a quick tummy
rub.
